Jenkins County High School announces honor graduates

Sheila Marie Boone, valedictorian, daughter of Bob and Donna Boone, plans to attend Georgia Southern University, majoring in history. Chester Jeffery Joyner, salutatorian, son of Jeff and Judy Joyner, currently attends Georgia Southern University where he plans to obtain a bachelor of science degree in biology and then attend medical school.

Other honor graduates and their plans after graduation are as follows.

Shante' Fayeann Bynes, daughter of Atalie F. Bynes, Elizabeth Mosley and Natalie Lattimore, will attend Armstrong Atlantic State University majoring in nursing with a minor in business. Kelly Chick, daughter of Forrest and Mary Boyer, will attend Georgia Southern University and major in hotel and restaurant management. Porshea J. Cooper, daughter of Matthew and Jacqueline Cooper, plans to attend Georgia State University majoring in nursing and seeking certification as a nurse Anesthetist. Molly Elizabeth Edenfield, daughter of Tracy and Susan Edenfield, plans to attend East Georgia College seeking a degree in teacher education.

Grant Johnson, son of Casey Johnson Sr. and Yvonne Johnson and Casey Johnson Jr., will attend East Georgia College in pursuit of a degree in nursing. Cierra Joyner, daughter of Mark and Angelia Joyner, plans to attend East Georgia

College and then further her education to become an orthodontist.

Sha-Nique Prescott, daughter of Kimberly Young and James Prescott Jr., will attend Ogeechee Technical College majoring in radiology. Rebecca Leigh Rich, daughter of Don and Cindy Rich, plans to attend Georgia Southern University in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in chemistry and then attend the University of Georgia to become a pharmacist.

Breonna Smart, daughter of Deloris Smart and Rosa Lee Sampson, will attend Georgia State University majoring in biology and seeking a minor in philosophy. Trevor Weathersby, son of Julie Reynolds and Jon Weathersby will attend East Georgia College. Melissa White, daughter of Jimmie Faye White and the late Jeff White, will attend Georgia Southern University where she will seek a degree in early childhood education. Steven W. Young, son of Jennifer Sherrod and Steve Young will attend Georgia Southern University majoring in accounting.

National Technical Honor Society graduates and their plans after graduation are as follows:

Loretta Doe, daughter of Wallace Doe and Shannon Childs, will attend Augusts State College to become a registered nurse. Jillian Gaiser, daughter of Richard and Gina Gaiser, plans to attend Ogeechee Technical College to become a registered nurse. Cortney Harris, daughter of Larry and Sharon Harris, will attend South University in Savannah majoring in physical therapy.

Brianna Joiner, daughter of Larry and Georgina Joiner, plans to complete basic training and AIT for the National Guard and then attend East Georgia College and transfer to Georgia Southern University majoring in Nursing. Kyleigh Spidle, daughter of Lisa Leshko, plans to attend Armstrong Atlantic State University majoring in physical therapy and business. Michael Yoke, daughter of Michael and Rebecca Yoke, will join the U.S. Air Force, then attend college majoring in forensics.
