The Eagles lost game #2 to GMC by a score of 6-5.
Leading hitters were: Aaron Comstock 3-3, home run; Spencer Clark 2-3, a double; Dag Gay 2-3, 2 SB; Houston Bowers 2-4; Will Bragg, 1-3, homerun; and Will Brinson 1-3, a double.
"Aaron Comstock pitched a great game giving up only six hits. Five of the six runs were earned. You can not say enough about how well the defense played all weekend," said Coach Clark.
Game #3 saw the Eagles fall again to GMC in a hard fought 4- 3 battle.
Leading hitters were: Spencer Clark 2-4; Will Bragg, Will Brinson and Aaron Tanner, 1-2; and Aaron Comstock and Dag Gay, 1-3.
"Aaron Comstock and Trevor Weathersby combine for a gut wrench seven inning of giving up only six hits, one walk, and three earned runs. I cannot say enough about the fan support. It was like a wave of blue with all those tshirts in the stands and up on the banks. That's as hard as I've seen our players play for themselves and the fans. It meant a lot to them. We are moving on to the sweet sixteen," said Coach Clark.
