DAR to hold Centennial Observance of Monument
      The Georgia Division of the United Daughters of the Confederacy will hold a Centennial Observance of the unveiling of the Wayside Home Chapter No. 1030 Confederate Monument 10 a.m. Saturday, June 13, on the lawn of the Jenkins County Courthouse.

Summer Lunch program begins June 8
      The Jenkins County Board of Education (BOE) announces that the Jenkins County School Food Service Summer Lunch program will be held at the Jenkins County Middle/High school cafeteria June 8-June 30. This program provides nutritious lunches at no cost to all children age 18 and under. Lunches will be served 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
