Council of Churches to meet Aug. 13

 

The Jenkins County Council of Churches will hold its third quarter member meeting 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, at the Jenkins County Agriculture Building. All members are encouraged to attend. For additional information, contact Tonya at (478) 982-8004.

Lane Grove Baptist Church to hold revival

Lane Grove Baptist Church, Highway 121 North, will hold revival services 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, through Friday, Sept. 4. The guest minister will be the Rev. C.L. Anderson of Hinesville.

Miracle Temple to hold

Family and Friends Night

Miracle Temple House of the True and Living God, 640 Bypass off Hwy. 25, will celebrate Family and Friends Night, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15. The program will feature South Florida Gospel Singers and The Kelly Family.

Mistress of Ceremony will be Eloise Prescott. Pastor Joseph Ratliff will bring the sermon.

The public is invited to attend.

Faith Walk Deliverance Center to hold revival

and church anniversary

Faith Walk Deliverance Center will hold revival service 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, through Friday, Aug. 21. The speaker will be the Rev. James Thomas.

The church will celebrate its fourth church anniversary Sunday, Aug. 23. Sunday School begins at 11 a.m., and mass meeting at 11:30 a.m. Dinner will be served

Drakes Chapel Baptist Church will hold revival service 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10, through Sunday, Aug. 16. The Rev. Eugene Davis of Swainsboro will be the guest speaker.

Zion Baptist Church Youth Department to celebrate 74th anniversary

 

The Youth Department of Zion Baptist Church will celebrate their 74th anniversary 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 16. Sunday School begins at 10 a.m., and the morning worship at 11 a.m.

The speaker for the occasion will be Erika F. Whiters of Millen. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Whiters of Millen and is a 2003 graduate of Jenkins County High School. She is currently a junior at Georgia Southern University majoring in Community Health. After graduation, Erika's plan is to pursue her M.P.H. in Health Policy Management. She is a member of Zion Baptist Church where she was an active member of the Youth Department and currently serves as assistant to the Financial Secretary. She has one sister, Latoya Ellis, and a nephew, Ares Ellis.

Pastor Broomfield, the youth and members of Zion invite the public to worship with them on this very special occasion.
