As the flu season approaches, the East Central Health District (ECHD), along with all 13 county health departments under its jurisdiction, will conduct a flu clinic beginning Sept. 21-25. This year's slogan is "Roll Up Your Sleeve and Arm Yourself Against the Flu."

With reports of flu-like symptoms being reported throughout the ECHD, the Jenkins County Health Department is urging citizens to get vaccinated for seasonal flu. The ECHD Health Director, Dr. Ketty Gonzalez said, "Getting vaccinated each year is one of the best ways to prevent the spread of the seasonal flu virus."

The flu clinic schedules for Jenkins County residents are as follows: Monday, Sept. 21, 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.; Tuesday, Sept. 22, through Friday, Sept. 25, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
