The 38th annual Fair-on-the- Square will take place 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Jenkins County Elementary School (JCES.) The arts and crafts festival has always taken place on the lawn of the Jenkins County Courthouse in past years but had to be moved to JCES this year due to construction that is taking place at the courthouse. The event is spon- sored by Millen Better Hometown (MBH).

The charges for booths are as follows: $35 entry fee for each 14' x 14' space; $60 for nonprofit groups requiring two spaces; and $5 charge, in addition to entry fee, for those requiring electricity. Spaces are reserved on a first come, first served basis. Arts and crafts vendors are invited to participate. No used clothing, jewelry, furniture or flea market type items will be permitted. Vendors should set up on Friday afternoon or Saturday before 9 a.m. Spaces must be confirmed with a MBH member before set up.

The deadline for booth entries is Friday, Sept. 25, and an application for booths appears elsewhere in this issue of The Millen News.

There will be no parade this year due to the change of location of the fair and construction projects in progress.
