Miss Pinkney to wed Mr. Cheeks Oct. 3

Kelvin Cheeks and Schenise Pinkney Kelvin Cheeks and Schenise Pinkney Mr. and Mrs. Gus Pinkney of Millen proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Schenise Pinkney of Metter, to Kelvin Cheeks of Swainsboro, son of Bernice Handberry and Duke Cheeks, also of Swainsboro.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Willie Pearl Daughtry of Twin City and the late Calvin Robsion of Millen and the late Dorsey and Emma Mincey of Stillmore. She is a graduate of Jenkins County High School and is currently employed as a customer service representative with Sears in Statesboro.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mattie Huston of Swainsboro. He is a graduate of Swainsboro High School and is currently employed with United Parcel Service of Swainsboro.

The wedding is planned for 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Williams Grove Holiness Church of God in Christ, U.S. Highway 25 South.

No local invitations will be sent. All friends and family are invited to attend.
