JCMS to hold Open House Oct. 5

Jenkins County Middle School PTO and Open House will be held 6-7:30 p.m. Monday Oct. 5. There will be a brief information session in the cafeteria, and then parents will be able to visit with their child's teachers.

GED Registration to be held Oct. 5

The GED examination will be given at Southeastern Technical College (STC), Swainsboro campus, Monday, Oct. 12, and Tuesday, Oct. 13. Registration is required prior to testing. This will be held 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5, in Building 8 and 6 p.m. in Building 2, Room 2402.

A picture ID and Social Security card must be presented and a $95 test fee is due at registration. Applicants must be 18 or older. If applicants are 18 or 19 years of age, an official withdrawal from the last school attended must also be presented.
