Here's Johnny


This Saturday night will be too marvelous for words. Robert Ray and Company will be on stage as part of the Burke County Series as they present "Johnny Mercer … Too Marvelous for Words." The show is a tribute to the great American lyricist Johnny Mercer on his 100th anniversary. The production stars Ray, Marsha Dupree and Shawn Megorden, plus a 5- piece onstage orchestra and will feature some of Mercer's best loved hits like Goody Goody, You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby, Fools Rush In, Blues in the Night and Moon River. The high energy show, which was a nine-week sellout in Atlanta, has already been a hit at Georgia Music Hall of Fame, Highlands Playhouse and the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston.
