Habersham U.M.C.

Habersham United Methodist Church will celebrate its annual Homecoming 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 18. The Rev. Henry Erwin will bring the message and Carolyn Jordan will provide special music.

First Baptist Church

First Baptist Church will hold Fall Youth Revival Services 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, through Thursday, Oct. 22. The guest evangelist will be the Rev. William B. Blount, pastor of Greater Young Zion Baptist Church, Augusta.

Guest churches will be as follows: Tuesday - Daniel Grove, Bethel A.M.E., Welcome Baptist, Brinson Rock, Zion and New Light; Wednesday - Dickey Grove, Needful, Kelsey Chapel, Morrison Grove and Friendship; and Thursday - Williams Grove Baptist, Nannie E. Williams, Johnson Chapel, Drakes Chapel and Mt. Carmel.

Sunday, Oct. 25, the church will hold its 75th Junior Church Anniversary.

The public is invited to attend these services.

Sure Word Baptist Church

Sure Word Baptist Church invites the public to attend its Old Fashioned Days Oct. 11, Oct. 18 and Oct. 25.

Sunday School begins at 10 a.m. and morning worship service at 11 a.m. This will be immediately followed by dinner on the grounds with an afternoon service beginning at 2 p.m.

There will be special old-time singing and preaching from the Word of God.

There will be no 6 p.m. service on these special Lord's days.

Williams Grove Missionary Baptist

Williams Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1772 Highway 17 North, will hold revival services Tuesday, Oct. 13, through Thursday, Oct. 15. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Peter Sparks of Watkinsville Baptist Church, Waynesboro.

Sunday, Oct. 18, the church will celebrate its 136th Church Anniversary.

Millen Baptist Church

Regional southern gospel group "Kindred Spirit" is scheduled to sing at Millen Baptist Church 7 p.m. Saturday, October 24. Members of the group include Kendall Hadden (tenor) of Swainsboro, Keith Rogers (baritone) of Claxton and Chad Brown (lead) of Patterson.

The church welcomes all who would like to attend. No admission is required. A love offering will be taken during the service.

announces programs

Fountain Springs Baptist Church will hold the following programs during the month of October: Marriage Workshop, 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17; Women in White program, 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 18, guest speaker-Evangelist Annie Bell Chance, Williams Grove C.O.G.I.C. of Millen; I Am program, 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 24.

Gays Hill Baptist Church

Community Worship Center

Community Worship Center, 417 Virginia Avenue, will celebrate Homecoming 10:45 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18. Special guests will be Rhonpaul Ministries of Clopton, Ala. who will sing and preach the gospel.

Jenkins County Council of Churches

The Jenkins County Council of Churches will be holding their 4th quarter member meeting. We are encouraging all members to attend and look forward in seeing you there.
