Recreation Department to host soccer games

The Jenkins County Recreation Department will be host for soccer games 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at the recreation complex. The surrounding counties that will play throughout the day will be Jefferson, Glascock, Wrens, Washington, Waynesboro and Jenkins. Admission to the games is free, and there will be concessions.

JCHS School Council to meet Oct. 20

The Jenkins County High School School Council will meet Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 3:30 pm in the JCHS Media Center.

39'ers to meet Oct. 19 The 39'ers will meet noon, Monday, Oct. 19, at the Millen Community House. A program will be presented on seniors' safety. Visitors are welcome.
