Lois Madlene Saxon Arthur, 91, of Sylvania died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009 at her residence.

Funeral Services were held 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009 at Oak Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Jamie Archer officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

She was born in Burke County and was a homemaker and member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her son, Clarence S. Mock.

She is survived by her three daughters, Joyce E. Bland of Macon, Jane E. Harrison of Sylvania and Mabelene Bland of Metter; a step-daughter, Lillie Mae Miles of Sylvania; and numerous grandchildren.

Crowe-Fields Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
