Jenkins County Middle School (JCMS) is proud of their business partners. The school enjoys the support of several local businesses whose financial help funds special projects. These local businesses with their owners/ managers are an integral part of middle school programs. Superior Alarms of Millen (Jeff and Judy Joyner), Regions Bank (Jeff Brantley) and Bethany Home (Regina Bell) have been involved as business partners for many years. Last year Modern Woodman of America (April Green and Linda Bragg) joined with the school as new partners, and this year Cindy's Cafe on Cotton (Cindy Hendley) became a business partner.

JCMS BI-LO is a fundraising sponsor. For the last several years JCMS has received checks twice a year for amounts up to $1,500. This program is called boostersplus. It involves BI-LO shoppers scanning their BI-LO card with a scantron provided to the school. The school receives 1 percent of purchases made with the card. "This program is the school's best fundraiser of all that have been done. It's easy, and the money we receive can be spent without strings." said fundraising co-ordinator," Patricia Hall.

The middle school also partici- pates in General Mills Box Tops for Education. The Student Leadership Council helps collect, count, bag and mail in the "box top" tokens. They usually earn close to $500 a year through this effort.

The school added another corporate sponsor this year with the My Coke Rewards program. This involves the Student Leadership Council entering the codes found in cases and caps of many Coke products including Powerade. The codes earn points which will be traded for sports equipment for P.E. classes.

JCMS is pleased to announce the addition of Harvey's Supermarkets as a corporate sponsor. The school will earn points based on purchases made with Harvey's Hometown Reward Keys. The points are then redeemed for a large variety of school supplies. You can be a part of this; it is easy to link your key to the school on-line at www.harveys-supermarkets.com using the school code 48001. You can also send your 12 digit key number to the school, and the school will register the number for you.
