Bethel AME to hold Men & Women’s Day

Pastor James C. Jones and the Bethel AME Church family will observe their annual Men & Women’s Day 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21. (That’s right ... Saturday!) The guest speaker will be the Rev. Debbie Neal, pastor of St. Peter’s AME Church, Midway.

Pastor Neal is a dynamic preacher, and she is wife of Presiding Elder R. Nathaniel Neal.

Come and help usher in the Thanksgiving season. Dinner will be served following service.

to hold concert

The Evening Light Church of God, 220 Washington St., will hold its second annual Children of Joy Choir Concert 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21. The guest speaker will be Minister Marcus C. Mobley of Cornwall Street Church of God, Savannah.

Thanksgiving Youth Revival

The 14 Thanksgiving Youth Revival program of Gordon Grove Baptist Church will be held 7:340 p.m. nightly Monday, Nov. 23, through Wednesday, Nov. 25.

Guest ministers will be as follows: Monday night – Minister Eric Tate; Tuesday night – Minister Undrey Bostic; and Wednesday night – Minister Frank Bedford.

to hold program

Fountain Spring Baptist Church will be celebrating its 5th Pastor and Wife Appreciation for Elder Pearlstine O. Capers and Sister Francina Capers Sunday, Nov. 22. The guest minister for the special occasion will be Prophet Darrel Smith, Pastor of House of Fire Ministries, Thomson and Millen. Sunday school begins at 2 p.m. and the appreciation program will immediately follow. All are Welcome!

to hold Thanksgiving revival

Pastor Rudine Becton and the congregation of Douglas Branch Baptist Church invite the public to attend Thanksgiving revival services 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, through Wednesday, Nov. 25. The speaker will be Dr. Paul Dennis of Newnan. Music will be led by Sandy Becton.

The church is located at the intersection of Ogeechee Road and Douglas Branch Road.

Community Worship Center

to host Ronny Hinson

Community Worship Center, Virginia Avenue, will host Ronny Hinson, recording artist and songwriter, at a Pre-Thanksgiving sing 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21.

Hinson is best known for the song “The Lighthouse.” He was Songwriter of the Year for years 1988-1991. He and the original Hinsons were inducted into the official Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
