Sheriff’s Office makes arrests

The Jenkins County Sheriff’s Office arrested four individuals last week on a variety of charges.
Eddie Durell Powell Jr., 27, of Hwy. 17 South, Millen, was charged with a Nov. 11 armed robbery, kidnapping, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. He has also been charged with a probation violation. Powell is being held in the Jenkins County Jail pending Grand Jury action this month.
On Nov. 20, Ronald Muckerson, 58, of Perkins Road, Millen, was charged with distribution (sale) of a Schedule II drug (oxycontin). Judd Allen Bramblett, 28, of Hwy. 17 South, Millen, was charged with distribution (purchase) of a Schedule II drug (oxycontin). These arrests resulted from the Sheriff’s Office investigation of a recent robbery. Muckerson and Bramblett have been released on $5,000 bonds.
On Nov. 20, Charles Edward Dobbs, 40, of 5018 Cougar Lane, Garfield, was charged with child molestation as the result of an investigation between the Jenkins County Sheriff’s office and the Panama City, Florida, Police Department.

The alleged 8-year-old victim lives in Florida with her mother. The case has been under
investigation for the past month by the Jenkins County Sheriff’s Office, Panama City Police Department, Florida Department of Family and Children Services and the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services. Dobbs is being held in the Jenkins County Jail pending Grand Jury action this month.
