Donald L. Rich, age 58, of Millen died Friday, Dec. 11, 2009 at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital in Augusta.

Graveside services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009 at the Rich Family Cemetery with the Rev. Jamie Archer officiating.

He was born in St. Petersburg, Fla. and was Chief Tax Assessor for Jenkins County. He was a member of the Georgia Tax Assessors Association and a Baptist.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Clifton Rich; a daughter, Rebecca Leigh Rich of Millen; his mother, Frances Helton Rich; two brothers, Clayton Rich and Lloyd Rich, all of Swainsboro.

Crowe-Fields Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
