Winifred Ruthe Yeargan Proctor, 74, of Greensboro passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009 at Medical College of Georgia Medical Center in Augusta.

Memorial graveside services were held 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010 at the Millen Cemetery.

She was born in Dallas County, Texas. She was an artist, very active in her community and was a member of the Greensboro First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph N. Yeargan.

She is survived by her husband, Harmon L. Proctor Sr. of Greensboro; a daughter, Lynda P. Hall of Cartersville; a son, H. Lee Proctor Jr. of Decatur; her mother, Winnifred T. Yeargan of Scottsdale, Arizona ; a brother, Stephen Yeargan of Phoenix, Arizona; and three granddaughters.

Crowe-Fields Funeral Home of Millen was in charge of arrangements.
