Mr. Paul Anthony Johnson, 61, of Garfield died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010 at the Medical College of Georgia Medical Center in Augusta.
Funeral Services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010 at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
He was born in Jenkins County May 19, 1948. Paul was a Production Scheduler for Fulghum Industries but had held several positions including engineering, customer service and operations manager. He was also a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Johnson; two sons, Eric Johnson of Garfield and Kevin (Le Anne) Johnson of Carrolton; a daughter, Alison (Corey) Kraus of Canoochee; his mother, Rose Clark Johnson of Garfield; three sisters, Marcia (John) Newton of Millen, Karen (Frank) Moore of Rincon and Lisa (Steve) Weirather of Lawrencville; a brother, Ben L. Johnson of Metter; and five grandchildren, Chasity, Hailey, Noah, Joshua Paul and David Ben Johnson.
Active pallbearers were David Harrison, Charles Lewis, Bob Birchfield, Robert Evans, Danny Herrington, Bob Watson, Heyward Wells and Ricky Yates.
Honorary pallbearers were employees of Fulghum Industries. Crowe-Fields Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
