BI-LO golf tournament offers Early Bird pricing

The BI-LO Charity Classic, the largest one-day charity golf tournament in the United States, will be held June 5–7, and this year members of the community can join with BI-LO Charities in raising money for organizations across Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

The BI-LO Charity Classic is offering early bird pricing through Feb. 28 which gives the public a chance to participate in the tournament and related events while raising funds for non-profit organizations within their own communities.

Player spots, which are valued at $850 each, will be available for only $650 with the early bird pricing. The Charity Classic takes place on more than a dozen courses in Upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina and gives participants a special opportunity to tee off at some of the area’s finest golf courses, including Bright’s Creek Golf Club, the Cliffs at Keowee Springs, Champion Hills and other beautiful, renowned courses.

A player spot also includes admission for the player and a guest to other first-class activities throughout the weekend of the BI-LO Charity Classic.

“We are very excited to announce the special pricing for the player spots,” said executive director of BI-LO Charities Carol Browning. “We designed the early bird promotion for the community to take advantage of the Carolinas’ top golf courses while supporting organizations throughout the Southeast.”

The BI-LO Charity Classic began in 1983 as a fundraiser for Meals on Wheels and has grown to be the largest one-day charity golf tournament in the country. During the past 26 years the tournament has raised more than $48 million to support hundreds of charities throughout BI-LO’s four-state operating area of South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia. Funds from the Charity Classic go toward supporting organizations that focus on BI-LO Charities’ key initiatives, including children, education and hunger relief.
