Wilson, Simmons to unite in marriage
Megan Wilson and Heath Simmons to wed June 12
William (Jet) Wilson III and Sandra Oglesby of Millen announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Olivia Wilson, to Russell Heath Simmons, son of Rusty and Wanda Simmons of Twin City.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Martha Sue Wilson and the late William M. Wilson Jr., Tommy and Shirley Taylor and the late Samuel Oglesby, all of Millen.
A 2007 honor graduate of Jenkins County High School, Miss Wilson is currently attending Georgia Southern University pursuing a career in Business Administration. She is employed by Thompson’s Corner Inc. in Millen.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Al and Nancy Simmons of Twin City and Russell Collins and the late Bobbie Collins of Swainsboro. He is the great-grandson of Wilbur Arnold of Hazlehurst.
Mr. Simmons is a 2003 honor graduate of Emanuel County Institute. He graduated in 2009 from Georgia Southern University where he received a bachelor of science degree in Middle Grades Education. He is employed by the Johnson County Board of Education.
The wedding will be an event of Saturday, June 12, at 6 p.m. at Oak Hill Baptist Church in Millen. A reception will follow immediately at the Millen Community House.
No local invitations will be sent. All family and friends are invited to attend.
