2010 Trade Show to be held Feb. 18

East Central Georgia Workforce Investment will sponsor a Trade Show 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, at the Jenkins County Agriculture Center.

Applications for training will be taken as well as a schedule for WorkKeys Assessment. Program training dates will also be set.

Energy and industrial construction training courses offered include: Carpentry, Masonry, OSHA-10 Training, Electrical, Plumbing, Sheet Metal and Welding and Heavy Equipment Operating.

Millen Lions Club to hold pancake

supper Feb. 22

The Millen Lions Club will hold its annual pancake supper 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, at the Millen Community House.

Tickets are currently being sold for $5.

Registration is underway at

recreation department

The Jenkins County Recreation Department is now holding registration for t-ball, softball and baseball. Ages 4-18 may come by the department to sign up.

Please remember to bring a copy of birth certificate if one is not on file at the office. The deadline for registration is March 4.

Baton lessons are now being offered at 4 p.m. on Mondays. Call 982-2943 or come by the office for more information.

Council of Churches to meet Feb. 23
