Class of 1980 plans reunion

Millen Garden Council to hold Flower Show

The Millen Garden Council will sponsor a Standard Flower Show entitled, “Spring in Bloom” 2-5 p.m. Saturday, March 6.

The Horticulture exhibit will be at the Jenkins County Memorial Library, 223 Daniel Street. The Design exhibit will be held at the home of Jane D. Johnson, 809 Reynolds Street.

Millen Garden Council to meet

Millen Garden Council will meet 4 p.m. Monday, March 1, in the Educational Building at the Jenkins County Hospital.

All council members are encouraged to attend.

BCCHS to hold class reunion

Green Fork to hold auction

An auction will be held at Green Fork Baptist Church 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, hosted by the church’s youth group.

The doors open at 5:30 p.m. for those desiring to come early and register and browse items for sale. Concessions will be available.

All proceeds will benefit the youth summer mission trip.

Registration is underway at rec. dept.

The Jenkins County Recreation Department is now holding registration for t-ball, softball and baseball. Ages 4-18 may come by the department to sign up.

Please remember to bring a copy of birth certificate if one is not on file at the office. The deadline for registration is March 4.

Baton lessons are now being offered at 4 p.m. on Mondays. Call 982-2943 or come by the office for more information.

JCHS School Council to meet March 9th

The Jenkins County High School “school council” will meet 3:30 p.m.

Tuesday, March 9, in the school’s media center.

Michael Thurmond comes to Jenkins

Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond will be at the Jenkins County Senior Citizen Center 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb.27. The public is invited to attend.
