Mr. Marvin W. Blalock Jr., 66, of Twin City died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010 at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro.

Funeral Services were held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Hebron Primitive Baptist Church in Garfield with Tommy Rountree officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Blalock was born in Cherokee County. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Viet Nam War and was retired from the commercial construction industry. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Eva Mae Blalock of Twin City; a son, Brandon Blalock of Kennesaw; a daughter, Christine B. (Carlos) Saone, serving in Afghanistan; sister, Joyce B. (John) Cowart of Twin City; and three grandchildren.

Active Pallbearers were Forest Klein, Mason Klein, Bill Klein, John T. Watson, John Wesley Cowart Jr. and Eddie Reeves.

Crowe-Fields Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
