Mr. Charles Franklin Royal Sr., 70, of Millen died Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Bethany Nursing Center.

Funeral services were held 2 p. m. Friday, March 5, 2010 at Oak Hill Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Mr. Royal was born in Jenkins County. He was a retired owner of Royal Plumbing and Electric and a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Sue Ward Royal; a daughter, Machelle (Eddie) Dickey; two sons, Charles F. (Tammy) Royal Jr. and Stephen (Stacey) Royal; three sisters, Royce R. Rhinehart, Mary Louise R. Bragg and Betty R. (Floyd) Bolton, all of Millen; two brothers, Henry Lee Royal Sr. of Millen and Larry (Cheryl) Royal of Augusta; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Active and honorary pallbearers were members of Virginia’s Coffee Club and deacons of Oak Hill Baptist Church.

Crowe-Fields Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
