VFW conducts winter clothing drive

(Photo contributed) According to All American Veteran of Foreign Wars (VFW) Commander Byron Scogins, the recent winter clothing drive for Georgia homeless veterans held in the parking lot at Eagle Pharmacy was an astonishing success.

“The people of Jenkins County really came through, surpassing all expectations. Thanks to all who contributed to this very worthwhile cause,” he said.

A pick-up truck and trailer load was transported to Atlanta by Commander Scogins and presented to the Georgia VFW Service Officer who will ensure issue to those veterans in need.
