Dinner, awards and entertainment will be on the agenda of the annual banquet of the Millen-Jenkins County Chamber of Commerce to be held 7 p.m. Thursday, March 25, at the Jenkins County Agriculture Center.

The menu will consist of prime rib and shrimp cocktail with all the trimmings, and local entertainment will be the highlight activity. Awards will be presented to the Business Person of the Year and Citizen of the Year. The Spirit award, voted upon by chamber directors, will be given to the chamber board member who has been active and supportive of all chamber events.

Tickets are on sale for $10 each at the chamber office or from any chamber director.

“Come and show your support for your chamber of commerce. In these hard times, we all need to be supportive of all events held in our community. If we don’t believe in our community, then, who will?” commented Paula Herrington, chamber executive director.
