Hubert Harris Knight, 74, of Millen died Monday, March 8, 2010.

Graveside services were held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the Millen Cemetery with Dr. Maurice Crowder and the Rev. David Wheeler officiating.

Mr. Knight was born in Burke County. He was a U. S. Army veteran, was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after 34 years and was a member of Millen Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Coleman Knight; his parents, Robert and Mary Knight; a brother, James Knight; and a sister, Virginia K. Dean.

Survivors include his son, Brian (Jessica) Knight of Millen; a granddaughter, Lauren Knight; and a sister, Betty (Virgil) Choates of Midville.

Crowe-Fields Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
