Mrs. Vickie Marie Burke Flakes, age 52, of Millen died Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness.

Memorial services and visitation were held 7 p. m. Wednesday, March 24, at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home with the Rev. Butch Taylor officiating.

Mrs. Flakes was born in Jenkins County. She was the manager of R & M Auto Repair and a member of the Deep Creek Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Flakes of Millen; a son, Mitchell (Crystal) Flakes of Garfield; a daughter, Ashley Flakes of Perkins; her mother, Violet Gregory Burke of Millen; a brother, Lester Burke of Louisville; four sisters, Rebie McMillan of Millen, Nancy Mixon of Sylvania, Susan Malphus of Guyton and Sandra Lindow of New York; and three grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor Rae, and Mayes.

Crowe-Fields Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
