The Jenkins County Family Enrichment Center (JCFEC) recently held their first annual signature event fundraiser. JCFEC is the local community collaborative that supports the needs of children, youth and families of Jenkins County. Each collaborative across the state strives to raise funds to support the grants received. The JCFEC desired to raise funds to further meet specific needs within the community.
The event was an elegant dinner with each table personally decorated by the person or organization purchasing the table. Each table was beautifully decorated with fine china, elaborate table floral arrangements and candlelight. The evening was themed, “The Little Town that Can.”
The dinner was prepared by the board of directors of JCFEC, led by chairman Carroll Gay, and was served from a beautiful buffet. The desserts served as a beautiful display for the evening. Decadent layer cakes and amazing cheesecakes filled a beautiful center bar, accompanied by an elegant punch fountain.
Julian and Diane Wade, winners of the dance-off contest are shown.
The staff of JCFEC welcomed and waited on their guests for the evening. A wonderful band, led by vocalist Pam Bowman, provided entertainment. The evening was highlighted with the selection of door prize recipients and followed by dancing.
The event was attended by over 200 guests with JCFEC raising approximately $5,000 for the evening.
