Don Dasher, game warden for Jenkins County, was recently promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Sgt. Dasher is a 17-year veteran officer with the Department of Natural Resources and has been assigned to Jenkins County his entire career.
Dasher has been previously recognized as the recipient of the James Darnell award and the Ranger of the Year for his work unit. Sgt. Dasher had previously held the rank of Corporal and all ranks within DNR are decided on a competitive basis.
DNR Sergeants are field supervisors for five to seven Conservation Rangers and a corresponding number of counties. Rangers are responsible for enforcement of Georgia’s laws relating to hunting, fishing, boating and environmental concerns.
Dasher and his wife Kimberly have two children, Will and Beth. Sgt. Dasher’s parents are R.L. and Mary Sue Dasher of Glennville.
