Georgia Southern recognizes local students

Outstanding Georgia Southern University (GSU) students were recognized at the annual Honors Day ceremony held recently on the university’s campus. Individual awards were presented to 156 students. Inductees into various honor societies were also recognized.

Honor’s Day is the university’s way of recognizing some of GSU’s best and brightest students, as well as their families. GSU appreciates all of their hard work and contributions to the university.

Chester Joyner from Millen received the Biology Award – Junior.

Jessica Murray from Perkins received the Delta Sigma Pi Award, Educational Foundation of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants Award, GSU Alumni Association Award and Outstanding Scholar Graduating Senior.

Nathan Saxon from Perkins received the Outstanding Scholar Graduating Senior.
