Hendley named JCES principal
TAMMY T. HENDLEY
Jenkins County Elementary School (JCES) will have a new principal the next school term. Tammy T. Hendley of
Swainsboro was approved for the position during the Monday, April 19, meeting of the Jenkins County Board of Education. She will replace Jim Jarvis who will be moving from JCES to serve as Principal and Instructor at the Jenkins County Alternative School.
Hendley has 14 years experience in the education field. She comes to the Jenkins County school system from Treutlen County where she has been employed since 2006. She currently serves the system as Assistant Principal, Grant Administrator, Testing Coordinator and RTI/SST Coordinator at Treutlen Elementary School. She also serves on the Treutlen County Schools Safety Committee and the Attendance Protocol Committee.
Hendley holds BA/BS and MA/MS degrees in Middle Grades Education from Georgia Southern University and MA/MS and PhD/EdD degrees in Education Leadership and Administration from Jones International University.
