The two items that we have the most trouble with in regard to deadlines is Church News and Datebook items. PLEASE observe the deadline and turn those items in by 5 p.m. Thursdays.

This Thursday, May 6, the 59th annual National Day of Prayer will be observed across our nation. This is a time set aside for citizens to join together in prayer for our nation and its leaders.

Locally, a special program will be observed 7 p.m. Thursday at Morrison Grove Baptist Church. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Christy Bandy, pastor of Millen United Methodist Church.

The community is invited to participate in this event.
