A Jenkins County school bus is shown unloading students at the Jenkins County Hospital following a Tuesday morning accident. The bus, driven by Talmadge Fries, Jenkins County school system transportation coordinator, was rear-ended by another vehicle at the intersection of U.S. Highway 25 North and Barney Avenue. Two students were transported to the hospital by emergency medical services personnel for treatment of minor injuries. Twentyfour others were taken by school bus to the hospital to be examined as a precautionary measure. The driver of the other vehicle, Josh Lake, was not injured.
