Mr. Troy J. Brinson, 56, of Millen died Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah.
Funeral Services were held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Oak Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Steven Purnell and Jamie Archer officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
He was born in Chatham County and was a carpenter and a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Krista Milner Brinson; two daughters, April Brinson Butler and Allison Brinson (Mike) Dann, both of Millen; his mother, Jackie Poythress Flanders and step-father, H. A. Flanders of Millen; a brother Dean (Debra) Brinson of Millen; two step-sisters, Mary Chatfield of Cummings and Karen Burroughs of Augusta; and five grandchildren.
Active Pallbearers were James A. Black, Wes Billlingsley, Jay Cannady, Ernie McLamb, Carey Cobb and Johnny Bramblett.
Honorary pallbearers were members of Virginia’s Coffee Club and the Four Points Hunting Club.
Crowe-Fields Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
