SCV observe Confederate Memorial Day


Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) Camp 2102 hosted its annual Confederate Memorial Observance Saturday, April 24. Past commander Darryl Drake is shown as he retires Confederate flags that flew over Civil War veterans’ graves in Jenkins County. A flag was consigned to flame as the name of each veteran buried in Jenkins County was called out on the Roll of Honor. Still other participants honored their ancestors by name when the flags had been properly disposed of.
