Kent Delay Jr. graduates from MCG
KENT DELAY JR.
Dr. Kenneth Jackson Delay Jr. graduated May 7 with aN M.D. degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta at the 181st commencement of the school. Kent graduated Summa Cum Laude.
He received the W. Knowlton Hall, M.D. Biochemistry award his freshman year, scored highest in his class of 179 students on the step 1 boards after his sophomore year and was inducted in Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society his junior year. He was also one of 14 students in his class to receive the Merck Manual Award on May 3, signifying a 4.0 grade point average.
Kent did his undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia in Athens, graduating in 2006 with a degree in Cellular Biology
and minor in History. He did away rotations at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He will begin his residency in Urology on July 1 at Emory University in Atthe lanta.
Kent is the son of Ken and Angela Delay of Millen. His maternal grandparents are Retha Moxley of Twin City and the late Homer Moxley. His maternal great-grandmother is Captola Cowart of Twin City. His paternal grandparents are B.J. Delay of Winder and the late Jean Delay.
Kent is a 2001 graduate of Jenkins County High School.
