Mrs. Margaret Beale Beard, 79, passed away Thursday June 10, 2010 in Millen.

Graveside services were held 1 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Millen Cemetery.

Mrs. Beale was born in Savannah August 22, 1930 and resided there much of her life. She was a resident of Bethany Home in Millen for nine years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Zach Beard; parents, Margaret and Aldon Beale; sisters, Ethel Beale Lewis and Gracie Beale Hutson; and brother, David Beale.

Survivors include her son, Joe W. (Lerverne) Gray Jr.; grandchildren, JoJo, Toby and Mandy Gray; brother, Aldon E. Beale; niece, Melissa Hutson Davis; many other nieces and nephews; and dear friend Ellie Motes.

Crowe-Fields Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
