Georgia Southern University (GSU) recently recognized 855 students for excellence in academics on the 2010 Spring Semester President’s List. To be eligible for the President’s List, a student must have at least a 4.0 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

Local students named to the President’s List are: Austin P. Kent, Chester J. Joyner, Jason E. Boynton and Wesley M. Kent, of Millen; Nathan R. Saxon of Perkins; and Landon H. Clark of Garfield.

GSU also recognized 2,145 students for excellence in academics on the 2010 Spring Semester Dean’s List. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must have at least a 3.50 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
