Mr. Michael Lindsey, 61, of Millen died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Bethany Nursing Center.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2010 at Oak Hill Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Mr. Lindsey was born in Jenkins County and was a heavy machine operator and a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Martha “Marty” Peacock Lindsey; two sons, Michael Lindsey Jr. of Rocky Ford and Josh Lindsey of Millen; a daughter, Michelle Taylor, of Statesboro; three sisters, Charlene L. Strickland and Karen Varnell, both of Millen, and Diane L. Potter of Sylvania; three brothers, Darrell Lindsey, Charles E. Lindsey and Martin Lindsey, all of Millen.

Crowe-Fields Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
