Sandhill Baptist to hold programs
Sandhill Baptist Church will hold revival services 7:30 p.m. nightly July 8 and July 9. The church’s 125th anniversary will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. July 11.
All services will be held at Welcome Baptist Church, Jeanette Drive, Millen.
Fountain Spring Baptist Church Choir Anniversary
Fountain Spring Baptist Church will hold its first choir anniversary 4 p.m. Sunday, July 11.
The public is invited to attend an evening filled with exaltation and songs of praise unto God as ministry through songs is celebrated. Sister Shanelle Carr is choir director.
Second McCoy to hold revival and church anniversary
Second McCoy Baptist church will hold revival services Tuesday, June 29, through Thursday, July 1. The guest minister will be the Rev. P.M. Broomfield.
The church will observe its 121st church anniversary Sunday, July 4. Dinner will be served. The Rev. Levi Sapp and church family invites the public to attend these programs.
Daniel Grove Baptist Church Men and Women’s Day
Daniel Grove Baptist Church, along with their pastor Rev. Eric Tate, invites the public to attend the Men and Women’s Day program 11:30 a.m. Sunday, July 11.
Special speaker will be Mrs. Charre’ Moulton, member of Sandvalley A.M.E. Jefferson County, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc., and the Rising Star Chapter #31 of the Order of Eastern Star. She has served as Jenkins County Middle School principal since 2007 and will move to the Central Office next term as Director of Special Education Services. Another special speaker will be Mr. Willie Haynes, educational specialist, currently CTAE coordinator at Hubert Middle School, Savannah, where he is implementing a middle school career academy. Haynes also served as assistant basketball coach for Windsor Forest High School’s varsity basketball team. He is a vice-president on the Georgia Career Technical Education (GACTE) Board of Directors and president of the GaeTE affiliate of GACTE. He is a former technology teacher, football and basketball coach and athletic director at Jenkins County High School.
Bethel AME
Bethel AME Church, 217 Walnut Street, will host a two night Burgess Landrum School Class Reunion Revival July 1-2 at 7:30 p.m. nightly.
The Rev. Jake Fisher, a 1964 graduate of Burgess Landrum High School, will be the guest minister. He is the pastor of First Timothy Missionary Baptist Church, Miami. Fla.
The Rev. James C. Jones, pastor, and church family invite the public to attend.
