Driver Education to be offered at JCHS
The Jenkins County Board of Education is pleased to announce that the Driver Education course will be offered again at Jenkins County High School. Students must meet the following requirements to enroll in the course that will begin the first semester of the 2010-2011 school year.
Students must be on track for graduation. Students must have a valid learner’s permit/instructional permit/Class CP. If demand for the course exceeds available space, students will be enrolled in the course based on birthday with other students receiving priority in the order of birth date. Students may not take this elective course unless it fits into their schedule as the goal is for students to graduate on time, and this course is not required for graduation.
The student’s successful completion of the course requires each of the following: punctual attendance for all classes; reasonable attentiveness and participation in all classes; makeup classes for missed sessions (limited opportunities for makeup work); and successfully passing a written examination with a grade of at least 70.
Parents who are interested in enrolling their student in this class should call the high school at 982-4791 or 982-6010.
