The Chatter Box

By Deborah Bennett

I would like to give you an update on Adam Lanier who was wounded in Afghanistan on July 4, as reported by his mother, Elaine Lanier.

Adam continues to improve and is now in Germany, as of Monday morning. The hearing has returned in his left ear although the right one continues to present problems. He continues to have some problems with vision, but has regained strength on his right side, and he is able to sleep more. Adam’s attitude also remains very positive.

Adam will be stateside on Friday of this week.

Please continue to pray for Adam’s recovery and the safety of all our troops.

The “Crusade 4 Christ” got underway Sunday night at the new school gymnatorium with a large crowd in attendance. The testimony by former wrestling star Lex Luger was especially inspiring, as was the entire program.

“Kudos” to all who had a part in bringing this event to Jenkins County.
