Deep Creek holds note burning ceremony

First McCoy to hold revival services
First McCoy Missionary Baptist Church will hold annual revival services 7:30 p.m. nightly Monday, July 19, through Friday, July 23.
Speakers will be as follows: Monday night – the Rev. Eddie Walker; Tuesday night – the Rev. Waltower; Wednesday night – the Rev. E. Bing; Thursday night – the Rev. Sis. Nadina Barber; and Friday night – the Rev. Allen Webb.

Needful Baptist Church to hold revival
Needful Baptist Church will hold revival services 7:30 p.m. July 26-30. The guest minister will be the Rev. Herman Bing of Carpenter Baptist Church, North Augusta, S.C.

Green Chapel AME Church
to hold Yard Sale
A gigantic yard sale, sponsored by Green Chapel AME Church, will be held 8 a.m. until Saturday, July 31, at the corner of Hwy. 17 and Main Street in Rocky Ford.
Booths will be $20 for non-perishable items like clothing and furniture. Participants should bring their own table. School supplies will also be given away.

Dickey Grove to hold revival
The annual revival of Dickey Grove Baptist Church, 1415 Millen- Hiltonia Rd., Sylvania, will be held 7:30 p.m. nightly Aug. 2-6. The evangelist for the week will be Pastor William Blunt of Greater Young Zion Baptist Church, Augusta.

Big Horse Creek to hold Homecoming
Big Horse Creek Baptist Church, located in Jenkins County at 1267 Buttermilk Road, will have their Homecoming services on 11 a.m. Sunday, August 1.
The Rev. Bert Hickman will bring the message. Special music will be provided.
A covered dish dinner will be held in the church social hall immediately following the service.
Everyone is encouraged to come, bring a covered dish, and help celebrate another year of God’s grace to Big Horse Creek Baptist Church.
Community Worship Center to hold VBS
Vacation Bible School will be held July 22-24 at the Community Worship Center, 433 Virginia Avenue. Activities will be held 6:30 -8 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday.

Nannie E. Williams UMC to host
Women’s Day program
In keeping with the South Georgia Annual Conference theme, “Sowing the Word,” Nannie E. Williams United Methodist Church will host the annual Women’s Day observance 11:30 a.m. Sunday, July 25. The guest speaker will be Minister Mary Alice Reese, associate pastor, Bible Missionary Baptist Church, Millen.
Minister Reese has an associate degree in Early Childhood Education from East Georgia College and is employed by Pineland Mental Health. She resides in Swainsboro with her husband, the Rev. Charlie Reese Jr. They have five children and 14 grandchildren.
Minister Reese has a sweet spirit and a genuine love for singing and the gospel of Christ. The public is cordially invited to attend.

Fountain Spring Baptist Church will hold revival services 7:30 p.m. nightly July 21-23. The guest minister will be Elder Donald Chavers, Agape Worship Center, Statesboro.

Deep Creek Free Will to hold
Homecoming Service
Deep Creek Free Will Baptist Church will celebrate 135 years of gospel ministry on their homecoming Sunday, July 25.
The service will begin at 10:30 a.m. and feature the singing of “The Five Smooth Stones.” Group members are Tim Fields, Joe Sasser, Joey McBride, Robert Gunn and Dave Waters.
The Rev. Charles Barnard of Glennville will deliver the homecoming sermon. Dinner will be served at the conclusion of the worship service.
The public is invited to join the celebration.
