Mr. Raymond Gene Sapp Sr., 75, of Perkins, died Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Burke Medical Center.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Habersham United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Mr. Sapp was born in Jenkins County. He was a retired farmer and general store owner and was a member of Habersham United Methodist Church.

Survivor include his wife, Joy Sapp; two daughters, Robin Chance and Katelyn Sapp, both of Perkins; two sons, Ray Sapp of Alexander and Jimmy Sapp of Perkins; four sisters, Joyce Lanier, Velma Bragg and Carolyn Law, all of Millen, and Marilyn Welch of Las Vegas, NV; a brother, Melvin Sapp of Perkins; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Crowe-Fields Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
