(Photo contributed) Local ACE hardware golf team, composed of King Rocker, Matthew Rocker, Jason “Bug” Boynton and Mike Reese, recently competed in the Southeastern Regional ACE Hardware Invitational Golf Tournament held at Royal Lakes Golf Club near Atlanta. Team captain, King Rocker, said he was proud to see his team chosen to compete in this world class prestigious golf tournament.

The highlight of the tournament occurred on the final hole when the current Miss Georgia, Emily Cook, challenged the team to beat her shot to the green. She hit it close to the pin. But Bug Boynton rose to the occasion hitting his shot stiff, besting Miss Georgia by a few inches.

All team members hope to qualify for this important tournament again next year.
