The group met last in 1997 for its 20th Class Reunion at Magnolia Springs State Park.

Throughout the evening, the former Buckhead Academy students delighted in sharing high school antics and amusing stories. Buckhead Academy memorablia, including football jerseys, yearbooks, cheerleading uniforms and other items, set the tone for the evening.

Don Wells, class president, welcomed the close-knit group of classmates and their spouses to the reunion. The program included Brian Odom and Moses Toole traveling down ‘Buckhead Memory Lane’ and performing an impressive comical literature oration from high school. Special moments of days gone by were captured in a peppy, yet poignant video featuring class members and distinctive events. The nearly eight-minute video recognized their teachers, and highlighted the class trip to Gatlinburg, Buckhead athletics, senior superlatives, graduation and individual senior photos. The video also included a tribute to an extraordinary classmate and friend, Eddie Pierce, who died too young. Cindy Boatright also remembered Eddie with touching comments. Horace Weathersby shared parting thoughts in the fond farewell.
