Bradley Wright and Joanie Williams The engagement of Joanie Nicole, daughter of Jennifer N. Williams and the late Charles N. Williams, of Millen, to Bradley Eugene, son of Dale and Sandra Wright, of Swainsboro, is announced by the bride’s mother.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd D. Davidson and the late Jack C. Newton, Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Loren C. Williams, Sr. all of Millen. Joanie is a 2001 honor graduate of Jenkins County High School and a 2005 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Georgia Southern University, with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She also earned a Master’s degree in Reading Education from Georgia Southern University in 2008. Joanie is employed by the Burke County Board of Education as a first grade teacher at Waynesboro Primary School.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Luther S. Sconyers of Swainsboro, Ga. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ford W. Wright of Pleasantville, PA. Brad is a 1998 graduate of David Emanuel Academy and a 2004 graduate of Georgia Southern University, with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. Brad is employed by Bridgewater and Associates of Canton, Ga.

The couple has planned an October 2, 2010, wedding at 5 p.m. at Millen Baptist Church in Millen.
