Local athletes place third at baseball tourney


The Southern Thunder Baseball team competed in the Southeast Summer Nationals Pitching League Baseball Tournament in Dublin placing third in the 9U age division. Eighteen teams competed in the tournament in the age groups of 10U, 9U and 8U the weekend of July 23-25. The following people and businesses made donations making it possible for the team to complete: Sandra Sherrod, Eagle Pharmacy, Dr. Makerson, Cindy’s Cafe, Proctor Construction, Apio Inc., family, friends and coaches.
