Some of Jenkins County’s most talented musicians will perform at the Millen Community House 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14. Millen Better Hometown’s second fundraiser to buy benches and trash cans for Cotton Avenue will be a country music show featuring local talent.

In addition to entertainment, admission includes a light meal. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased from any Better Hometown member or at the Millen/Jenkins County Chamber of Commerce.

The cost of a bench is $785. Millen Better Hometown will accept donations for the benches and trash receptacles. Donations are tax deductible. Benches may also be purchased by individuals in honor of or in memory of others. A plaque will be installed on the bench to acknowledge the donor and recipient being honored.
